ÖGPath Herbsttagung 2026 Autumn Meeting 2026

We are very pleased to welcome you to the Austrian Society of Pathology Autumn Meeting, which will take place from September 24th–26th, 2026, in the historic Tabakfabrik in Linz. This remarkable building, designed by Peter Behrens and completed in 1935, is a beautiful example of the Austrian “Neue Sachlichkeit” style. Once a lively industrial complex until 2009, it will now once again be filled with energy – this time through scientific exchange in pathology. The scientific program reflects both the uniqueness of the venue and the dynamic development of our field. The main focus lies on lung pathology and head and neck pathology – two areas that are closely interconnected and often challenging to separate in everyday diagnostic practice. For this reason, we have chosen a joint thematic approach, allowing for a more integrated and comprehensive discussion of tumors and non-neoplastic lesions. In addition, selected contributions in infectious pathology will address current and emerging diagnostic challenges. A special highlight will be an "out-of-topic" lecture on the challenges and possibilities of Artificial Intelligence. For the first time, we will also introduce a new format-Pro & Contra session- on Saturday afternoon, encouraging younger colleagues to express different perspectives on relevant topics.
