DESCRIPTION:<p>We are very pleased to welcome you to the Austrian Society o
 f Pathology&nbsp\;Autumn Meeting\, which will take place from September 24
 th&ndash\;26th\, 2026\,&nbsp\;in the historic Tabakfabrik in Linz. This re
 markable building\, designed by&nbsp\;Peter Behrens and completed in 1935\
 , is a beautiful example of the&nbsp\;Austrian &ldquo\;Neue Sachlichkeit&r
 dquo\; style. Once a lively industrial complex until&nbsp\;2009\, it will 
 now once again be filled with energy &ndash\; this time through&nbsp\;scie
 ntific exchange in pathology.&nbsp\;The scientific program reflects both t
 he uniqueness of the venue and the&nbsp\;dynamic development of our field.
  The main focus lies on lung pathology&nbsp\;and head and neck pathology &
 ndash\; two areas that are closely interconnected&nbsp\;and often challeng
 ing to separate in everyday diagnostic practice. For this&nbsp\;reason\, w
 e have chosen a joint thematic approach\, allowing for a more&nbsp\;integr
 ated and comprehensive discussion of tumors and non-neoplastic&nbsp\;lesio
 ns.&nbsp\;In addition\, selected contributions in infectious pathology wil
 l address&nbsp\;current and emerging diagnostic challenges. A special high
 light will be an&nbsp\;\"out-of-topic\" lecture on the challenges and poss
 ibilities of Artificial&nbsp\;Intelligence.&nbsp\;For the first time\, we 
 will also introduce a new format-Pro &amp\; Contra&nbsp\;session- on Satur
 day afternoon\, encouraging younger colleagues to&nbsp\;express different 
 perspectives on relevant topics.</p>
